Intro

The goal is weight loss but you have to focus on more than that in order to achieve it.

Humans are all the same but vastly different from one another as well. What I mean is that, we all eat food yet some of us have our dream bodies while others do not. For whatever reason there are various hormones going under the hood, which regulate your weight loss. Then there are various emotional reasons evolved in weight loss as well. This article will focus on those emotions, because if you can get them in check you can change anything you want, today! The diet matters but it is secondary to getting your mind right. Emotions first, diet second.

So many folks want to lose weight but can’t. Why? Then there are people who weigh 300 pounds and when the pain of being too big is too much they change overnight and do not stop until they achieve their desired goals. Whether you have 10 or 200 pounds to go these tactics will help you…

Outside of the realm of weight loss, there are unique emotional short cuts that allow humans to do great things when they want to achieve a goal. We know for a fact these emotional factors work, it is just about finding out which will work for you. For me, it was pain and the psychological principal identified by Robert B. Cialdini, commitment…

How to Harness Human Psychology in Order to Achieve Weight Loss Today…

1. DON’T LET IT GET TO PAIN

Most people respond to pain at some point. The pain of getting too big is often enough to jolt most into losing weight. For me, the pain of reaching 244 pounds, eventually lead me to lose it all… The problem with using pain to change is that it cannot be manufactured, by like, telling yourself, “I am in pain!” It has to be real. You often have to go to one extreme end of the weight spectrum in order to stick with the “pain” diet and exercise will put you through in order for you to achieve your weight loss goals. Pain also falls in the realm of a health scare. For example, if you start developing prediabetes, it can push you to achieve some weight loss in order to combat this health scare. Extreme pain works but if you are not there, best to rely on other emotional tactics to get the weight off…

2. A REASON BEYOND JUST LOSING WEIGHT

Find a reason beyond just losing weight – and let that be your weapon. You will have to create commitment and consistency. What is that? Well, for some, they can tell the whole world, I’m going to lose 50 lbs this year and that will be enough to lose it. For others, they may have to create a rule by telling others, “This time next year I will be competing in a contest.” Or hey, “I will be running a marathon.” The point, that “I will” has to be real to you, real enough to change you… It is such that, you have to find a reason beyond just weight loss and let that be your weapon. It works because when humans anchor on to something that is more than just their immediate goal, it aids them in reaching their destination. This is the psychological principle known as commitment.

3. FIND YOUR AUTHORITY and ACCOUNTABILITY

Having accountability towards someone who knows more than you in a specific area helps you to achieve faster results. When people are accountable to someone who knows more than they do in a certain area – that helps them to achieve faster results. If you hire a personal trainer, you will feel accountable to push yourself in order for you to achieve your goals. From that trainer comes the knowledge to follow a proper plan. It is the same reason why most business owners who have a successful business mentor just do better in business. Or why you work at your job, the system of accountability makes you work whether you like it or not. It is like a bio hack on our brain. So the point, you now know that if you create accountability in your weight loss efforts you will see results…

4. ENVIRONMENT and SELF-DISCIPLINE

Environment is a unique emotional tactic because it directly relates to everything we do. Controlling the environment is crucial if you want to achieve the body you want. Not surrounding yourself with bad food is the first step in changing. Out of sight, out of mind. We have all heard that before and it works here because it is true. If you can master the environment of your fridge, you are left to master the emotion of just not buying bad food. You can’t control what the supermarket has to sell to you but you can control your emotions in just not buying certain foods… In order to do that, you must develop your mental willpower and train it. Just as you did not learn to drive overnight – this will take some time as well… Self-discipline is something you must practice and it will take a constant effort everyday by your part. Harnessing the ability to do what you have to do even though you don’t want to do it will lead you to successfully lose weight.

There you have it – emotions first, diet second…
